In 2016, Liam began working with the KIJHL’s North Okanagan Knights as a goaltending coach. He quickly became an assistant coach and elevated himself to the head coaching position all the while gaining invaluable experience in team management.
In 2017 Liam was named as a goaltending consultant with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL). In 2021, Liam, alongside Eli, was hired to work as a goaltending consultant for the Kelowna Rockets (WHL).
Liam’s coaching experience ranges from working with beginner goaltenders and players in private sessions to running semi-private, group, and full team practices at the junior hockey level. He also coaches professional goaltenders at Eli Wilson Goaltending’s Prospects Camps as well as in private consulting sessions.
Liam’s coaching strengths include an innate ability to communicate with goaltenders at all levels, and an ability to dissect a goaltender’s game through video and on ice analysis.
Liam develops goaltenders through detailed and focused repetition and demands that his students are ready to put in the extreme hard, physical effort that is required for continuous improvement to their game.
