Prospects Camp has been the development camp choice for over 200 CHL Draft picks, 30 NHL Draft picks, and many more elite goaltenders. We are proud to offer a camp with such an intense and competitive environment and to be continually chosen by many high level goaltenders. If you are playing at the Midget AAA level or higher, or have been personally invited, welcome to your next stop in your goaltending development journey. We are bringing 32 goaltenders together into this environment of excellence to grow their game exponentially.
The on ice development follows our philosophy. Fast-paced yet methodical and cerebral drills based on game situations to make the goaltenders grow in more than one part of their game. Lots of high quality reps with high attention to detail. Small adjustments and improvements each time you get in the net. We will be on the ice for 3 hours per day, facing shots from WHL/Pro shooters from start to finish. Our team is committed to teaching the game in the right order. Our development path works through skating and movement, angles and positioning, rebound control, save selection, save technique, reading the game, and playing a structured, simple system to help you stop more pucks and be a more effective goaltender. All drills will be filmed and shared with you at the end of each day. Biosteel will be provided on the ice along with post-practice recovery shakes.
At the end of each day, we will do summit-style group video sessions, where all goaltenders and coaches go through the day’s clips together and constructively analyze and discuss each play.
Our trainer and equipment manager will take care of setting up and drying your gear, and looking after any other equipment needs. Skate sharpening is available through the week, however please arrive with sharp skates as we will not have access to the sharpener Sunday night.
We provide a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel on Sunday, and transportation back to the airport on Friday night. We are also covering your hotel room and all meals to ensure you are eating properly for the entire week.
The hotel, rink, restaurants, and gym are all within the same compound, meaning no early morning wake up to drive across the city to train. All you have to do is be physically and mentally ready to work as hard as you possibly can.
If you are not playing at the Midget AAA level but you would like to attend this camp, please contact Liam@eliwilsongoaltending.com.
