Toronto Puckhandling Camp August 8-9, 2020

Our goal with this 2 day clinic is to help improve your ability to expect, accept, and play the puck. Our focus with this camp is that our students will not miss any valuable school time on Friday afternoon. Areas in which you can expect major improvements will be your ability to stop pucks coming in on rims, straight on dump-ins, dump-ins to either side of the net, handle rolling/bouncing pucks, and making flat passes to your Dmen. These benefits will come as a result of getting your feet moving, checking your shoulder, seeing the ice, moving your blocker from the paddle of your stick to the top, getting two hands on your stick, pulling the puck off the boards,m directly behind the net, maintaining a strong bottom hand, transitioning from backhand to forehand (or vice versa), getting your feet up ice, making a flat pass, and following your pass back into your net. As we progress through the weekend, we will incorporate stretch passes, deception, and other small but useful tactics to make sure you become the best puck moving goaltender you can be.
